Did you know that Edith Head was born in San Bernardino? Also, many movies have been filmed in the area.

When Spanish explorers came, they saw a land inhabited by Yuhaaviatam or People of the Pines among other clans of the Serrano. In 1891, the Act for Relief for Mission Indians was passed. The band is named for tribal leader Santos Manuel.
